|Big Breakfast at Ayette's Bamboo House and Restaurant|
In earlier days, we often find ourselves craving for modern comforts while we are tucked far away from civilizations. We give away some comforts in exchange with the very laid back ambiance of a particular place. We used to let go of comfy beds, internet/wifi, cellfone signals and all-to-common snacks in order to enjoy the almost virginal beauty of mother nature.
I experienced just that when I spent sometime in Port Barton, Palawan. It is a "back-to-basics; back-to-nature" type of place - a tropical place tucked far away from the comforts of civilization. After spending sometime enjoying local cuisine of mostly fresh sea food, one could sometime miss the simple treats offered by one's home city.
But, surprisingly, there is a local restaurant there that offers foods you used to have at home. Ayette's Bamboo House and Restaurant serve all too familiar home-cooked meals that feels like home. I have tried their version of a big breakfast that includes two eggs cooked in a way you like, bacon, tomatoes, slices of cheese, butter and french bread sliced in half.
Isn't it awesome that you get the best of both places - a place where you can commune with nature while having the comfort foods you always enjoyed. Ah, life!
