EIGHT. After Seven Hundred Eleven Posts, this blog turned eight. Although 8 is a lucky young number, it means ancient in blogging world so to have reached this far is an accomplishment in itself. Last year was my leanest blogging season in terms of number of posts I made but this year I plan to be more active than ever.
One step towards being active and visible again this year in the blogosphere is by featuring three regular series in my blog... the Throwback Trip Thursday, Foodstagram Friday and Selfie Sunday.
Throwback Trip Thursday or "TTT" is an offshoot of the famous Throwback Thursday meme. TTT will feature some of my favorite and memorable trips which I have featured in this blog's eight years of existence. This may also include recollection of the first time I have done a trip with fellow bloggers and some other nostalgic pieces on Lawstude's archives.
I first read the word "Foodstagram" in a flight magazine on my way to Batanes and has stuck to me since. Food posts are not a stranger to this blog although but I somehow post them sporadically. So to organize things, I am featuring "Foodstagram" on my blog this year. This will feature anything and everything about food from my personal recipes to the dining experiences in the Metro and to the local cuisine and delicacies of the places I have been to. So, every Friday is Foodstagram Friday posts.
A "SELFIE" a day keeps the readers away. Or so I thought haha. In its technical term, selfie is a shot made also by the one in the pic. It is made by impossibly elongating those arms to provide sufficient distance between the camera on hand and the beautiful subject - the shooter himself. But travelers has a way of doing things differently, to have a perfect selfie with an awesome background we use tripods or put our cameras on a sturdy surface and use timers or better yet, we let someone take our pics instead. So, as a tribute to travelers, be it local or foreign, I have decided to feature SELFIE SUNDAYS. It will all be about Travel Blogger's Favorite Shot of a Place that include him/her on a photo. This is my way of getting to know (or re-knowing) travelers who share the same passion I have.
By the way, if you are interested to share your photos, please send your photo and a short description of the photo (where it was taken/why is it your favorite) with your blog's address at email@example.com. Each SELFIE SUNDAY shall be posted every, erm, Sunday so please share if you have time.
That's it. Here is looking forward to another eight years of blogging. Cheers!
