When one speaks of Camsur, what comes to mind are either the Caramoan Peninsula made famous by Survivor Series or Wake Boarding at Camsur Watersports Complex. But did you know that before Caramoan or Wake Boarding, there is Pasacao which is known as the the Summer Capital of Camarines Sur.
One of the more popular landmark in Pasacao is the Daruanak Island which is off the coast of Barangay Balogo. The island is barely ten minutes boat ride from the Balogo shores and during low tide, one can even wade on the sea and swim from where the sea turns deep to reach the island. Along the way, you can sea sea grass, starfish, anemones and urchins. On the island itself, there is a stair that leads you to the top of island.
It was sunny when I arrived in Pasacao but it rained hard when I was about to go to the island so I contented my self with just shooting some landscapes within the beach. But I was never dissapointed because I had the best of both weather. I had the chance to capture the place in bright lights as well as on a gloomy, dark-casted skies.
Here are some of my shots of Daruanak Island in Pasacao:
