Traveling is such a rare occurrence for me this year and in those few instances that I got to go out of the Metro, majority of them are even work-related. But I am not complaining. I have made my choice. So, if there is a chance that I could combine my work and my passion in a trip, then I would certainly exploit that chance to the hilt.
Looking at my itinerary. I will be in Tagbilaran just an hour after noon and I will be back to Manila by 11:25 the next day. The meeting was set at 3PM and it would probably last for a couple of hours, 3 at most. So I was thinking, I could probably fit in Loboc after I landed, then Panglao to do sunset shoot and Chocolate Hills very early in the morning. I really wanted to see Mag-Aso falls but it would be impossible to fit that.
I arrived at the airport an hour before my scheduled 12 noon departure. Three hours later, I was still at the airport because of a delayed flight. To cut the story short, I arrived at Tagbilaran with just a couple of minute to spare before the meeting. Goodbye Loboc! (Score:Lawstude=0;Work=1)
The meeting started with a presentation, then discussion, then submission of documents and pleadings, then there is a light dinner and socialization. I love that meeting because I got to meet new people and gain insight to some of their business and that you learn from them and they learn from you. What I hate about it is that you got pre-occupied with the conversation (and the wine of course) that it was almost 9 PM when the meeting ended. Goodbye Panglao Sunset Shoot! The next morning. I told myself, this will be my day. I haven't seen Chocolate Hills in almost three years. Besides, the first and only time I was there, it was raining hard so I really have no time to shoot decent photos that time. (See my measly, epic-fail, first time here.) It is a good 2 hour trip (back and forth) so I made arrangements the night before. I have already prepared my things so after the Chocolate Hills Shoot, I would go straight to the airport in time for my flight back to Manila. But then, the Boss called. Our client asked for a breakfast meeting to finalize some things that crop-up during the meeting yesterday. It was a workday people so do I have a choice? Goodbye Chocolate Hills! If there is any consolation, at least I got to have breakfast in Loboc and have the opportunity to visit Tarsier Conservation Area even for just few minutes before heading to the airport. Hello Loboc! (Score:Lawstude=1;Work=3)
This time, I guess work has gotten' the better of me again. Badly beaten? - Yes. Give up? - Never
