One Tagaytay Weekend

They say the best things in life are free. So, when Ferdz invited me and a couple of travel buddies for an overnight free accommodation at one of Tagaytay's top hotels, who could say no. I have always associated Tagaytay with cool breeze and delectable food so this road trip is a welcome respite to the razzle-dazzle hassles of the metro.

Barely two hours away from Manila, it was a smooth-ride along South Luzon Expressway exiting on Santa Rosa, Laguna and continuing the car-ride along the developing estates by the roadside. And when we had a glimpse of the famous Taal Lake, we knew that we have reached our destination.

It was a weekend to relax and enjoy. Although we have tagged our cameras along, we often found ourselves just enjoying the amenities of the hotel like the badminton court, gym and the oh-so homey rooms that we often drag ourselves out just to leave it. Personally, I could just sleep all day there.

And yes, it is a weekend of food indulgence. In fact, my stomach have never been fuller and have never really experienced that kind of abuse. (Well, not to consider those long forgotten days when I weigh more than 80 kilos thou, hehe). Leslie's Bulalo is definitely something you should try because it is arguably the best bulalo you will ever taste. Hey, enough talking, here are some shots:

Summit Ridge Hotel

Summit Ridge Hotel and Promenade is a first-class hotel located along General Aguinaldo Highway in Tagaytay City. It is owned and managed by Robinson's Land Corporation. For more information, please click here.

I would like to thank Ferdz for inviting us in this trip together with Lagalog and Wanderboy. So, for an enjoyable weekend near Manila, why not go to Tagaytay, just be sure to bring with you a big and hearty appetite.

This trip I could certainly do because of the proximity from Manila. Saan pa ba masarap kumain dyan?
