Sunset means Goodbye!

I can't help myself but be melodramatic. As I watch the sun slowly set again while staring at the red-orange skies, I realize that at this point in my life, everything seems to lead to goodbyes. I am not the one to elaborate because I don't usually put my heart on my sleeves but then again, everything happens for a reason. I will just put my faith in Him and I know I will be alright. Sunset means Goodbye but Goodbye also means moving on...

...there was nothing in sight
running away from the carnage
the memories left abandoned
all gone in a blink of the eye...

...sometimes beginnings aren't so simple
sometimes goodbye’s the only way...

...i did not realize everything was falling apart,
until everyone i knew was ready to turn and run away...

...i wish i could say
that i’ve got no regrets...

...looking for the right words to say,
i’m not quite sure how to put my words...

...as a solitary tear drop slid down my cheek,
i packed my bags and walk towards the sunset...

...where a new life awaits
and tomorrow i’ll forget
about my grief today!

All shots taken at Mahabang Buhangin Beach in Calaguas Island, Camarines Norte. Poem credits to Poetry of Life.

No matter what pains you, I hope everything has been worth it.

And remember: the secret to the beauty of a sunset is its brevity. And the greatest mystery about it is how, no matter what happens in between, the sun will always rise up the following day, majestic as always.=)

I don't know if this is about relationship but if it is I would like to share with you what a wise(ass) co-worker once told me - after a while, after you've been dating the same person for a long time you reached a point where you either go get married or break up. no you cannot stay in that spot forever, you have to move on together or move away from each other.

or maybe you're just melancholic about the summer season about to end :)

in any case here's a cyberhug. i'll take you out for a beer if i can.

moving on is always a gift to yourself.faith is a good thing, my friend, it guides us in our darkest hour. and when the heart weeps for what is lost, the spirit laughs for what it has found.

i'll join you guys for that beer.:p

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on these wonderful shots. I personally think you are at your best element when shooting sunset.

Secondly, just remember that in every sunset comes a sunrise where new challenges in life awaits.

This is the first time I'm seeing the emotional side of you - I can feel it not just through your words but the melancholy of your sunset photos. Anyway, there will always be sunrise after a long, dark night.

Ang sad naman ng poem, samahan pa ng superb sunsets. Kahit ako mapapaiyak nyan. Ok lang yan Lawstude, move on ka na.

I love sunset views thanks for these wonderful pics and the poem that is very suited for it. Sunset for me means "hope"

I agree with foongpc, sunset may mean sad to goodbye but after that is a brand new day - to start new a hope, beginning and life. 'Hope your next post will about "sunrise"
