Sentosa's Siloso Beach

The island-country of Singapore is truly fascinating. They do not have white-sand beaches so they made not one but three artificial beaches. With a stretch of more than two kilometres in length on Sentosa's southern coast, Palawan Beach, Siloso Beach, and Tanjong Beach have become favorite destinations not only among tourists but for locals alike. These beaches are reclaimed using sand bought from Indonesia and Malaysia.

Having visited lots of natural beaches in the Philippines, I can truly say that Philippine Beaches are truly far-beyond compare. However, I am intrigued by the novelty of these Singapore Beaches considering the fact that they are man-made. I have learned that before, Singaporeans used to go to neighboring countries of Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines just to experience white sand beaches, but now, all they have to do is go to Sentosa's Beaches to have that beach-bumming fix.

Of the three beaches, the Siloso beach host the most activities. It is known as the place for beach volleyball and other outdoor activities such as canoeing, skim boarding, mountain biking or rollerblading. It also has a pleasant view of sunset where you could just sit under several of its palms and relax after a day's exploration in Sentosa Island. Here are some photos:

Hahaha, the next thing we will bring not one but three gardens into the marina area with artificial cold climate where we can grow tulips, roses, etc. I think they will be ready next year.
