I first featured a Foggy Dalton Pass early this year on my trip with Dong Ho and Orlan. This time around, with Ferdz, Oggie and Erick, Dalton Pass was a picture of clear blue sky and green mountain. Its typical foggy state which use to envelope the entire place was amusingly absent.Dalton Pass borders Nueva Ecija of Region III and Nueva Vizcaya of Region II. It was the scene of bloody battle during the second world war between the Allied American and Filipino forces against the Japanese. Dalton Pass was named after an American hero who died there. Commemorative markers for soldiers who perished during the war are installed in there.
So here are some photos have taken of Dalton Pass on a Clear Day:

35 took the journey:
Ang cute ng mga commemorative markers... jijijijijij
based! jijijijijij
It's always nice to revisit a place and see it in a different light. If only I could do that to the places I've been.
regular ba kayong nagpo-phototrip? pwede ba sumabit minsan? i'm scheduled to go home for good next year. :-)
Thanks for sharing this historical place.
Nice place to visit. The view deck would be a good place to take photos, I suppose?
It must have been terrible to fight there...in the middle of nowhere...
I wonder how many people died there.
I terribly miss the "presence" of Sierra Madre. :(
Nice pictures... very clear, what's in Dalton's Pass?
wow... the jpnese marker is for filipino soldiers though... made by the local or jpnese?? why it's in jpnese??
guess i gotta figure it out myself... lol bring me there
I remember that foggy Dalton Pass you featured here earlier of this year I think. So this is how it looks like on a clear sunny days. Beautiful sceneries coupled with cotton-white clouds plus gorgeous blue skies captured by a talented photographer.
Very well done...
dodong flores
madami bang NPA jan? hehehe.. anyway, i like the rock marker. :)
Dalton pala is an american hero gaya ni Mc Arthur. Maganda gawing name in the future.
That is a remarkable sight.
ganda!!! very beautiful sceneries...i wish i could visit these places too..hmmm, maybe i will...someday. :-)
Nice pictures with green green grass and blue blue sky!
For a change, a fog-less view now gave you a chance to see the environs around Dalton Pass clearly.
Is it conquered by Japanese b4?
good evening everyone and thanks for the comments.
@ r-yo - bigla na lang nagyayayaan panyero lalo na pag long weekend. sige sama ka one time.
@ sidney - not sure about the numbers but its quite a lot.
@ sheng - commemorative markers and amazing view of sierra madre.
@ fufu - it is made ny filipinos to honor the soldiers of war.
@ chris - yup, but the allied forces fought back and won.
Galing ng comparison ng foggy at sunny. Pareho maganda.
These are pretty markers symbolizing an ugly war. The image of the cross and the stone are just so sad.
Beautiful sunny photos. Love the sky and the mountains.
Ganda ng panahon jan ah. Sikat na sikat ang araw. Dito non-stop and ulan.
Amazing.
so nice to have some sunshine this time as opposed to your previous foggy trip there! :)
These are much better photos compare to previous one where it was foggy. Indeed a beautiful place
I'll take the sunshine over fog anytime.
it's much better to visit this place on a sunny day. its history is depressing enough for a foggy day visit.:P
I remember to have read your foggy post about this place and I found it weird that a highway such as this is too foggy. Too many accidents in the place because of the fog. It is nice to see the sunny version of the place.
LS: What a beautiful country, thanks for sharing these views.
Such lovely views!
real nice refreshing view of the mountains. Nature at its best.
