The locals call this place Angel Island, and by the looks of this place, it seems like an Angel literally lives here. Fine off-white sand beaches, amazing rock formations and caves are what make this island well-known within the area. The amazing rock formations really caught my fancy. These rocks are almost bluish-gray and most of them are really sharp. They spread over the sea forming small islets and some even form a cove that turns portions of the beach into mini-pools.
Located in Kabatian, Sual, Pangasinan, this island can be reached by boat from any ports in the Labrador-Sual-Alaminos area. And while Pangasinan is indeed notable for its numerous islands (including the famous Hundred Islands), Angel Island also known as Kabatian Island definitely hold its own appeal - however rough and tough it may seem.
25 took the journey:
parang postcards! ;D
Ganda nung cave! jijijiji... sana pati mga tao jan Angel din... naku magpapamigrate ako jan! jijijiji
Looked like a nice place to get away from the madding crowd.
Absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing.
Hmmm... must explore this side of the Luzon. It does look rough and tough! :-)
wheeww.. those photos blown me away.. ang ganda at ang galing ng pagkakuha.. i like the scale by which you have taken your photos..

nice for picture taking
It looks quite "wild" with all those rock formations... looks like you had a great time discovering them.
Postcard perfect pictures Lawstude!
How much time did you spend in Hundred Islands to cover all these?
Thanks.
mabato at halos perpek ang hubog ng bundok, mapapansin na likas na kurbada dahil sa alon...natural ang dating...parang gusto kong akyatin ang bundok at pagtapos maligo sa dagat.;)
is it safe to swim here?
I love that top photo: creative use of photography, with the focus on the tiny branches in the foreground.
I'm not sure I would name something with those kind of rocks "angel." Maybe "devil's nook."
im sure kandscape photographers will love to stay there overnight! ganda ng mga rock formations.
Rocky Mountain High is my favorite.Ü Can't help but say, "Ang ganda talaga ng Pilipinas." Ang dami ko ng napuntahan na lugar dito, marami pa rin pala akong hindi napupuntahan.
Bloghopping.
Hope you don't mind.
The rocks look sharp. I suppose the islands are made of igneous rock. How interesting that the rocks are not more worn smooth by the sea.
spectacular photos! i almost drove to Pangasinan last weekend. i'm missing the beach...these photos make me long for a visit to the beach.
The last time I was in Sual was close to two decades ago to go swimming with friends and yet to this date, its beaches haven't lost their virginal appeal. Ganda pa rin.
I have been to Pangasinan but never yet to this place. I like the beaches there specially the one in Bolinao. They are not as white as some of the best in the country but the sunset is definitely spectacular.
From the pictures, I can see this is one island where you need sandals/shoes with good traction or else...
Sharp images and sharp rocks too. :)
ang dami talagang magagandang lugar sa pangasinan!
happy weekend, lawstude!
This is an exceptional natural beauty! Greeat place to visit.
Lovely set of pics. Sarap mag-swimming.
Maganda yung effect ng tinik. Kaso masakit yan. Baka island yan ni angel aquino.
