Revisiting Governor's Island

I am back at this place sooner than I thought. But hey, I am not complaining. This will be my third trip to the Hundred Islands in two years and this time, I accompanied some friends who will set foot in the islands for the first time.

Governor's Island is one of the biggest in the Hundred Islands and one of the must-stops when island-hopping. In here, you can walk/climb the stairs leading to the observatory deck above where you can have a spectacular view of the nearby islands. If you do not want to climb, you can just enjoy a visit to a mini-cave or just play and swim at the fine-sand beach. Or you can trek a little and go to the Big Brother House at the back of the island named after the TV show which housed its housemates there. The Big Brother House now serves as a mini-resort which visitors can occupy for a fee.

Here are some shots I have taken on my return to Governor's Island:

Governor's Island is a popular destination as evidenced by these boats in a row.

Sarap siguro mag island hopping dun! I hear only three islands were developed for tourists. I'm very interested in those that weren't. Yung mejo raw and primeval.

Oh wow, kayaks! Would love to explore the Hundred Islands on them. Too bad, I haven't been there, the only time I saw these islands were from afar, on a plane from Hong Kong to Manila.

nice, ha. i noticed the boats are flat-bottomed. unlike the boats in other parts of the country. safe ba yan?
