Every island has its own beach - that is a given. Therefore, the Philippines, having more than seven thousand islands definitely has more than seven thousand beaches. There are famous ones such as Boracay, Puerto Galera, Palawan, Dakak and Pagudpud, but there are also equally appealing less-famous ones such as the Agta Beach in the Province of Biliran.Agta Beach is a short-strip of fine sand with orange hues located in the Municipality of Almeria. The place is relatively untouched and almost tourist-free making it a great place to relax and commune with nature. It is also the jump-off point to the White-Sand Beach of the Island of Dalutan. The Island of Capinahan and Leyte forms a great backdrop while relaxing on the shores of Agta Beach.

Not to be missed while on Agta Beach is their Roasted Chicken cooked very slowly on a native oven. Our guide from Provincial Tourism Office, Sherwin, accompanied us to this place and ordered this specialty for us. Although it took us almost an hour to wait for this meal, once you tasted it, the wait is definitely worth it.
Although we didn't stay overnight at the place, the Provincial Tourism office recommends AGTA Beach Resort known also as VRC Beach Resort. You may contact them at 09163322117 or 09185140603.

I love going to these type of beaches, those that the tourists haven't heard of, for more quiet time, some down time.
How did you find this one out? Is there a website for this out of the way heavenly places?

i noticed the orange sands too. give it another 1000 years, and it will be another boracay. the sands already look fine eh.
since you seem close to the local tourism office na, can you ask them why they allowed the structures to be built close to the shoreline? diba there should be a minimum distance of 20 meters for any built up structures?
The third last shot with the boat and the island makes me want to run away right now.

Wow with more than seven thousand islands, you all dont have to travel out of your country for a vaccation. :) The roast chicken looked so yummy....now I am so hungry.

i wonder why they call it agta beach; must have any reference to the folkloric "Agta" - those dark giants sitting on balete trees smoking their pipes... great beach!
