Angol Rocks and Live Coral Beds

Every stretch of beach has to end somewhere and the White Beach of Boracay is no exception. I have previously featured the northern end of White Beach in my Diniwid post. This time, let me share to you its southern end made famous for amazing formations of beach rocks and live coral beds. This part of the beach has countless varieties of living coral of myriad shapes and sizes including many examples of colorful brain corals. I was informed that at low tide, most of the shelf is exposed, making it easy to explore. However, the wind was rough on both occasions I went there so I could only wander halfway and just concentrated on taking shots of the very scenic rock structures there. So here are some of the shots I have taken at that southern end of White Beach:

astig oman. naikot mo pala talaga ang boracay. ganda kahit saan banda. kahit yung sa may pier galing din. ang linis.

Parang meron parating na twister, hehehe. Nakakatakot magswimming dto, nevertheless very picturesque place indeed.

fantastic and dramatic shots too.

the top photo is just breathtaking! who would think the photo was taken in boracay? thanks for sharing this rugged, unexplored side of bora...sun, rocks, white beach, solitude---what more can you ask for?:D

Wow! You're one lucky guy for having been able to visit such amazing places! I still wonder at times how you managed to travel that much with 2 very stressful day job.

Very beautiful beach and lovely rocks. Nice place to play hide and seek among the rocks...lol. The sea looked so blue and inviting. Nice new look of your blog.

I am now dying to visit Boracay to retrace your footsteps. Btw, those pics just made me homesick. You now owe me a drink as compensation for the undue stress and mental anguish you caused. he he

Nanaybelen said...

Twin said...

Galing, you showed the Boracay that I never knew existed. Been there several times but always I just roamed around the "tourist spots." What an eye opener!

Photo Cache said...

That see-through cave is amazing. I wonder if they allowed camping on this part of the beach, or any part that is.

It appears like this end is more appealing than the other end, but hey both are fantastic. One of the must-sees in the Philippines.

Magnificent pictures!! as always.. you have caught our longing hearts. Hooked to the wonders of back home.

It's true.. one can only appreciate something when it is already out of reach.

thanks for sharing... at sa pag remind na I still have something to go back to.

I LOVE the beach. Love it! Can't go wrong with beach photos, and yours are wonderful. But I might like the last one, "Cry," best. What a great sky capture there!

I sooo love your photos, they're so colorful and your shots are like perfect. The 1st one here is my favorite - very nice contrast.

Happy Shooting!

Lawstude said...

@ the dong - oo nga dom, malinis sa island na yun at well maintained talaga at di ka magsasawa sa mga lilibutan. sarap nga bumalik uli eh.

Lawstude said...

@ kegler747 - umuulan nga sa dagat that time eh. malakas pa alon kaya mahirap mag-navigate sa mga batuhan pero ok na rin kasi maganda naman mga rock formations.

Lawstude said...

@ evlahos - thanks. the gloomy weather difinitely added drama to the shots.

Lawstude said...

@ luna miranda - san ka pa di ba? this is one of the best places i have been to and i will definitely go back here soon.

Lawstude said...

@ share my point of view - i keep on wondering myself lols. but something really has to give...

Lawstude said...

@ alicesg - thanks. the place is such a beauty really.

i have gone black for my blog.

@ r-yo - hahaha panyero. i owe you one.

Lawstude said...

@ eye in the sky - thanks. credits go to the weather that time.

Lawstude said...

Lawstude said...

@ nanaybelen - isang malaki at magandang isla nanay. may laban pa naman ang mga landowners doon basta mapatunayan nila na matagal na sila occupants ng isla mga way back 1940s.

Lawstude said...

@ twin - i usually visit the tourist spots first and then the off-the-beaten-tracks next. sarap kasi mag-explore sa isang lugar na di ko pa napupuntahan eh.

Lawstude said...

@ photo-cache - i didn't see any campers along the white beach. there are budget accomodations there so there is really no need for camping.

Lawstude said...

@ tentay - hey...welcome back...sige ba pichuran kita. pose na.

Lawstude said...

@ em - thanks and you are very much welcome. i really just wanna share these wonderful places to everyone specially my brother and his family now living in the states at para makita rin ng mga pamangkin ko doon na maganda ang kanilang unang bansang pilipinas.

Lawstude said...

@ louise - thank you very much. i truly agree. no one can go wrong with beach photos.

Lawstude said...

@ ms. hays - thank you very much. i really appreciate the warm comment.

Lawstude said...

@ juleste - the place is just really wonderful at masarap talaga balikan.

Lawstude said...

@ luke wiley - indeed. one of the best features of boracay.

Lawstude said...

@ george - gracias senor gracias.
